Affiliation...
We
are a part of the one, holy,
Christian and Apostolic Church.
As
Lutherans we share a common faith in
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
with other Christians. However, we are guided in our beliefs
by the
confessional
writings of the 15th Century
reformer, Dr. Martin Luther.
Our congregation is affiliated with the Lutheran
Church - Missouri
Synod. We take Christ's
Great Commission seriously to "go and
make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son
and Holy Spirit."
As a member of the Synod, our congregation supports world mission work
and the training of pastors and
teachers in our colleges and
seminaries. The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod is a strong
advocate
of parochial schools and has the largest Protestant school system in
out country. Our congregation supports an in-house preschool.
